The other week I was working on a song and wanted to export a RealTracks bass part to Sonar so I dragged it to the drag box on the left of the BIAB screen but accidentally put it in the MIDI quadrant instead of the WAV quadrant. To my delight this had produced a MIDI file of the audio bass part, which was better for me as I could then manipulate it in Sonar.
I tried this again last night with a different project and couldn't repeat the trick.
Now, it could well be that I just imagined it and all I'd actually done the first time around was drag a normal MIDI part to the drag box and it hadn't been in fact an audio bass part at all.
What do you think? I can't think that all RealTracks have companion MIDI parts or do they?
