Guys, I woulda let you in the side door for free! And provided special seats.
The seats in that auditorium were built for sardines. It was in a University Fine Arts Center constructed in the nouveau concrete style, i.e., one big glob of poured concrete. Instead of ivy growing up the walls, mostly it was scary looking cracks. Next time I expect to see police tape and a sign on the front entrance: "Condemned!"
But I am so glad you were able to enjoy Catwalk without having your circulation cut off or your toes stepped on.

Hi Dean, like all you do this stuff is very good and dynamic. Yes that's Dave Grusin alright, one of my favorite jazz and movie score composer of all times. Thanks for posting

I have to agree with you. It's hard to think of anything quite like Catwalk in terms of sheer drive and rhythmic excitement with Willie going bananas on the LP at the end there.

Compliments from the Netherlands, the world capital of jazz (the studio at Monster, Criss-Cross, the Royal Academy, etc.), are always highly welcomed and appreciated. This kind of music is virtually dead in the US.
