In BiaB 2014, the main mixer cannot be controlled separately, like in previous versions. All you can do to get rid of the mixer is remove the entire top half controls section of the screen (Control-T), but you can just have the small mixer window if you want (Window > Mixer).
What you are asking for would be much better and the right way to go.
