I think Peter confused me with you.
Thanks for the clarification about the "adapter" thing. The Surface has been on my radar and I would rather not have to mess with the two prong thingy if it's not necessary. My old lappy had a standard three prong grounded plug and it had tons of noise when I tried to play Biab through the headphone out but none with the battery or using the two prong adapter. Of course if I used a USB interface, no noise there either but that requires yet one more thing to take to a gig.
