I am trying to import a .kar file. I am able to import it with the "Import Chords from MIDI file" option, but I do not see the lyrics. I opened the "Big Lyrics" tab I just see the chords. I have also tried "Import file form MIDI file" with no success. What I want is to import all parts of the .kar file including the lyrics.

I could not get it to work, in the Mac Manual Page 188 states:
"The popular Karaoke file format (.KAR) can be opened directly into Band-in-a-Box just like MIDI files. Chord
symbols are displayed (Band-in-a-Box intelligently analyzes the chords of the song), as well as the lyrics from the
Karaoke files."
Will try another way and let you know.

Opened the kar file in BBWin shows Lyrics saved as MGX still shows Lyrics in BBWin opened MGX in Mac No Lyrics.

Thanks for checking on this solidrock. I found this in the Mac Manual Page 188 as well. I am still trying to figure out how to do this. I'll send a request to PGMusic support to see if they have any ideas.

I contacted PG tech support and they were unable to important the lyrics as well. Here is their response:
"After a bit of testing it looks like the lyrics aren't being properly imported when you open a KAR file. While all the MIDI data is imported correctly, the program is ignoring the lyric data. We've reported this to the development team and it should be addressed in a future program update."
I hope this means the next Mac update. Keeping my fingers crossed.
