It's going away.

Even if the PCI card slot was on a new machine, the chances of it working get slimmer with time. I have an 8 bit DOS machine in the attic with a slamming 2.4k dial-up modem (do you remember when that was state of the art?) ....yeah, that;s not coming back....... we're at 64 bit now, and soon that will change.

My old D-Man PCI card became history when the OS changed and the company that made the card didn't bother to write new updated OS drivers.....

Options: Use the card in some sort of "art" project.... or throw it in a box to collect dust. Might find someone on ebay who would pay a dollar or so for it..... but not a whole lot of options with old outdated gear.

I hated like all get out to have to buy a new soundcard when I started to set my studio back up after being out for a few years after the D-man driver issue..... but with the Focusrite I have now, and having used it compared to the D-man.... there's just no comparison. Technology has made it so much better.....and in the future, I think it will be even more interesting.
