I had noticed some posts about 64 bit Sampletank 3 not being usable as a plug-in with the 32 bit programs like BIAB. That's true, but shortly after I got Sampletank 3, I tried its standalone player with BIAB and Realband, and it worked great.

All I did was choose my USB MIDI device as MIDI out in BIAB, choose the same MIDI device as MIDI in for the Sampletank 3 player, and connect the MIDI IN and OUT of that device together with a MIDI cable connector. I also connected a MIDI cable to the MIDI IN and OUT of a different USB audio interface that had female MIDI jacks and that worked too.

It would be the same as connecting the USB device's MIDI OUT to a keyboard and the USB MIDI IN to the keyboard's MIDI through if you don't have a MIDI cable connector. Just turn the keyboard volume down so you only hear the Sampletank player. It's not as flexible as a VST, but if you want to play along with BIAB and use Sampletank 3 for its better sounds, it's great. You have to manually load the samples for the correct BIAB MIDI channels, but you can save those combinations. I have combos with and without horns, for example.

It will only play MIDI tracks, not realtracks, but it sounds quite good.

I hope this helps somebody who has both BIAB and Sampletank 3.
