Very pretty! Sounds almost like something we could have written but didn't frown
Actually this could really use a vocal.

Rob

Hello DA,

Nice instrumental. Thanks for sharing the RealTracks used. I am wondering what role SampleTank 3 played in the project and how well the 64 bit SampleTank and 32 bit PG Music worked together.

Hope to hear some more of your material.

Hi again everybody thanks for your time, it's been awhile, but it's always good to be home!

I don't know if SampleTank 3 will work with BIAB as did 2 but hey you never know maybe someday I'll try!

Strings, voice singing woodwinds basic stuff you fill in after a rough draft in BB. All tracks are exported from BB to your favorite DAW and then you craft your art as needed, somethings it's good sometimes it's finger painting.
All is good in the end if your having fun doing what makes us happy:)

P.S. this song is good for getting to sleep, a good set of cans and a looping music player you'll be drooling on the keyboard by 11:00.

DA,

Good to see you back in the neighborhood.

I have always liked what you do. Your mixes are always top-notch sounding. But this one doesn't quite work for me. I really like the combination of instruments. I like the song. But... there is a lack of clarity to the instruments. They sort of run together - which is great for a rock number, but not for these type instruments. Just my opinion, of course - everyone else likes it - so I might be way off base.

Good tune -- but I'm with Floyd. My first impression was that everything came in at the same volume and then stayed that way. Need more dynamic treatment, I do believe. You might also consider Left-Right-center panning here also. Most everything is grouped in the middle.

DA,

There has been some discussion on the forum about SampleTank 3 asking the question of how well it works with BiaB. From your writing in the first post, I thought SampleTank3 was used in the making of Ella. Perhaps you made a typo in your posting?

Hi Jim. As I last recall using any 64bit plug in BIAB will not work.
You find out pretty quick with a message box.

I'm referring to using ST3 in a 64 bit Host DAW in my case Studio One Pro.

All of the arrangement is sent out of BB as .wav files then using a MPK 49

all the rest is played by hand.

I have yet to play a single note in BIAB, because my system has latency issues.

I did a remix on Ella for my expert friends that have been so nice to lend an ear or two and remind me that rust never sleeps.

Much better! The guitar solo at the end pops out of the mix a little, but everything else fits nicely now - fj
