One approach ... The problem is that in 4/4 time, one has 4 beats to the bar and, with half-note triplets, it means that 3 notes play in the time that it would take for those 4 beats to play. One possible solution is to introduce a bar of 3/4 and to slow the tempo of that bar so that the 3/4 bar will play the three beats in the same time as it takes four original beats. For example purposes, let's say the song tempo is 100. This tempo means 100 quarter notes play in 60 seconds and so the time it takes for one quarter note is 60/100. This means that four quarter notes will play in a time period of ... By the same argument, three notes at some tempo ( x) will play in the time ... Since each of these expressions is the time for one bar, for consistency in musical timing, they must be equal. That is ... Solving for x and expressing the above as a general formula gives ... With the above in mind, to get BIAB to do this ... 1. Set bar of half-note triplets to 3 beats (using F5). 2. Set the tempo of this bar to 3/4 the original song's tempo (in the same dialogue box as #1 above). 3. Set the bar following the triplet bar back to 4 beats and to the original tempo. This should do the job for you. How it will sound, though, is another matter. That will depend on the Realtracks or midi tracks you have chosen. I imagine that some tracks will work better than others. EXAMPLE Original song tempo = 120 bpm in 4/4 and, at bar 20, a bar of half-note triplets is needed. Solution ... 1. Single-click on bar 20. 2. Press F5 3. In the dialogue box that pops up, set "# beats in this bar" to 3 and set "Tempo change to" to 90 (since 3/4 of 120 = 90). Click OK. 4. Single-click on bar 21 and set the "# beats" back to 4 and the "tempo change" back to 120. Here's a link to a simple SGU file I used to test my theory. It will let you see how I've set it up. link to sgu file with tripletsRegards, Noel

On a related note, this math can be done easily using MusiCalc (now online) - http://tools.masteringmatters.com/

Since, Dropbox changed the way in which the Public folder worked, the images in my above post and the link to the SGU file have disappeared.
