Currently BIAB provides a variety of useful symbols in the notation window (slurs, accents, etc) to make the printed music lead sheet more useful.

But the current set of symbols is not optimal for violin/fiddle players, because there is no way to show bowing (up/down) marks on the printed lead sheet. As you probably know, bowing makes a HUGE difference in the sound for violin/fiddle players.

A better approach would be to include up/down bowing symbols in the palette of symbols that can be placed in the notation window, and bound to a particular note.

If this was done, fiddle players could enter both melodies and bowing marks into the notation window for printing lead sheets. (Melodies are very, very important to fiddle players, because that's mostly what fiddle players do, and bowing marks make a big difference in how a melody sounds. )
