That is correct. There is not four-bar ending, per se, other than the last two bars giving time for the track to fade out. BIAB only allows for 2-bar endings in a style definition. What was happening before this feature was implemented was that the song (with RealTracks) just ended abruptly. The additional two bars allowed for a much smoother ending.

It's analogous to when you have BIAB render a MIDI file to audio. If you choose not to select additional bars at the end, you'll find the MIDI cuts off too soon. The additional bars allow the final MIDI notes to fade out nicely.
