Jeg er mac bruger og bruger biab til mac , men har også brugt biab windows hvor lyden er meget meget bedre. Det er fordi til windowsprogrammet er der et software lydkort fra Roland. Jeg vil meget gerne have et softwarelydkort til mac, især nu når jeg skal til at købe den nye version til mac. Kan nogen hjælpe?

Hej Peter MIDI lyden i BIAB er afhængig af hvilken softwaresynt eller Midi modul man bruger. Hvis du vil have noget som lyder fint uden at være alt for dyrt, kan jeg anbefale Edirol Sound Canvas. Prøv at se på denne side: http://www.roland.dk/product.asp?id=29&productid=386VSC (Virtual Sound Canvas) er et softwarebaseret lydmodul med komplette GM2 og Roland GS lydbiblioteker til anvendelse med PC (Windows XP, 2000, Me, 98) eller Mac (OS 9.x).Softwarepakken VSC-MP1 indeholder Virtual Sound Canvas i 3 forskellige formater: Direct X instrument (DXi), VST instrument og stand-alone (driver version). Både DXi og VSTi versionerne giver dig adgang til hele Virtual Sound Canvas' lydbibliotek via dit MIDI keyboard i realtime, samtidig med at du optager eller afspiller med et kompatibelt sequencerprogram som f.eks Cakewalk SONAR eller Cubase VST. Disse softwaresynths kan selvfølgelig også bruges til Windows PC. Jeg har ingen specielle interesse i det nævnte firma, men det var meget svært at finde andre GM synths, som også virkede til MAC.

Tak lindberg. Jeg kan desværre ikke få Edirol Sound Canvas til at fungere på Lepard eller Tiger. Jeg vil dog vente til Biab kommer med den nye version til mac og se om der følger et lydmodul med, ellers vil jeg prøve Hyper Canvas GM2(hvor køber jeg det). Er der biab der bruger mac i nærheden af Kolding, så vil jeg meget gerne i kontakt? heimdal@mail.dk også gerne betale for hjælp. Peter

Hej Peter
BIAB vers 12 til Mac fungerer sandsynligvis ikke med VST, DXi instrumenter. Jeg er ikke sikker, da jeg ikke selv har prøvet Mac versionen. BIAB 2009 til Mac burde fungerer med DXi instrumenter så hvis du har Mac versionen af Edirol Sound Canvas, hvilket ikke helt klart fremgår af dit indlæg, skulle du kunne få fin lyd. Af de oplysninger jeg har modtaget fra PG fremgår det kun at 2009 versionen understøtter den indbyggede Apple DLS synth.
