thanks I just tried E5 but its missing the c# and definitely the wrong sound.
in the meantime I'm using an A as it sounds closer but I'd definitely love to crack this because I probably won't stop writing occasional odd chords in odd places.
havent' tried the others you mentioned in my other song but will give them a go.
