OP Andrew - PG Music PG Music Staff Joined: May 2002 Posts: 7,415 Victoria, BC	There is a Band-in-a-Box 2015 build 411 update available (Dec 5) www.pgmusic.com/support_windowsupdates.htm#411 This patch will update Band-in-a-Box 2015 to Build 411 from any previous 2015 build. The update must be installed into your existing Band-in-a-Box 2015 folder. The patch installs many RealTracks updates; make sure to select the correct RealTracks and Drums folders so those files can be updated. Summary of Changes for Version 2015 Build 411 (Dec 5, 2014) Fixed: MIDI SuperTracks instant demos work from the MIDI SuperTracks Selection Dialog. Improved: Bar Section Letters show on the chordsheet at small font sizes. Improved: When using Bars Per Line or BigNote mode on Leadsheet, offers to deselect Fakesheet mode, because Bars per line is not active in fakesheet mode. Added: Checkmark added to the Bars Per line menu to show current setting. Fixed: 6% Relative Tempo setting was not working. Improved: Recognition of acid chunks for loops improved. Fixed: color selection menu wasn't working. Added: Hints added for Overrides dialog simple tracks. Updated: Messages changed when jBridge is not installed, and link to more info on jbridge. Fixed: Video was sometimes not clearing between songs. Fixed: Help \| Tutorial \| New Features of Version 2015 menu item was not working. Fixed: Tutorial #26 wording. Fixed: Some drum styles were listed improperly in the RealDrums Picker. Fixed: All RealDrums have proper memos and groove descriptions. Fixed: Consistent naming for bonus RT demo folders and RT215. Fixed: Bonus RT Strings - Replace wav files for wma files, for some audition demos. Fixed: Bonus RT Joe Robinson BoomChick - Style Audio Demos added; Audition files updated. Fixed: Bonus RT Held Styles - Style Audio Demos added; Missing audition files added. Fixed: Bonus RT Held styles - Piano, Electric HeldChords 60 fixed. Fixed: Bonus RT Rockabilly Swing - Style Demos Audio added; Some audition files updated. Fixed: Bonus RT Funk - Style Demos Audio added; Some audition files updated. However I couldn't see where it was downloading to (I checked all the usual spots). And I then wondered if it was going to update automatically or if I had to do the update myself but ... where was it downloading to? I decided to download it the old fashion way. Hope I make sense (and clear enough). Thanks and cheers.

receder Journeyman Joined: Nov 2014 Posts: 577 North Yorkshire, England	Hi soolan and Andrew, I also tried updating within BIAB2015 although it said to exit the program before updating (why offer that option then??). However, once the update dialog is open you cannot exit the program so it's a bit catch 22. Regardless I selected the option to download and then install it within BIAB. It downloaded ok but on install exited BIAB and nothing happened. Fortunately I found where the downloaded update was within the bb folder and ran it manually and it all updated just fine. Not a big deal really but just thought I would let you know. Thanks BIAB 2022 UltraPAK, CbB, Studio One 5 Pro, Fender USA Tele, Harley Benton Fusion & others.

It's the little "note" icon in the lower right. Is that possibly the message you saw? BIAB 2025 Win Audiophile. Software: Studio One 7 Pro, Swam horns, Acoustica-7, Notion 6, Song Master Pro, Win 11 Home. Hardware: Intel i9, 32 Gb; Roland Integra-7, Presonus 192 & Faderport 8, Royer 121, Adam Sub8 & Neumann 120 monitors.

Normally downloading 461MB would take 10 or 15 minutes, but this has been going on for over an hour and it's only 45% done. Is this because I'm doing the download from within BIAB, or is the server slow? Any suggestions to speed this up.

BiaB, there are some cool new things, but THE STRINGS! THE STRINGS! Tra-la-la-la-la! EXACTLY what I needed for those fat, low bg pads. But ONLY in the full 49-Pak. If you EVER need basic pop string backgrounds - GET THE 49-PAK!!! End of rant. Great job, guys. BTW, if you DON'T update to 411, some Realtracks may not be found (that's how I discovered the update.) I stopped the download, went here and downloaded it and it took the usual 3-4 minutes. Why the difference? It sure seems like there's something in the update function inside Biab that's slowing it way down. I know, Biab thinks it's a new song with 47 RT's and that's how long it takes to generate... The servers can only handle so many downloads at a time. After all, the patch was just announced. Wait another week and the traffic will be much lower, or download now and let it go slow. We all specifically said we stopped the download from within Biab, went to PG's website (as in here} and downloaded it in just a few minutes. Should be the same server doncha think? Now I suppose it's possible it's simply coincidence that all the huge crowds of folks trying to download this update suddenly went away at precisely the same time we downloaded it directly from here? I've always downloaded directly from the website and not had problems that way. Whenever I read on the forums an update is available, I just have the reflex to hit that "Support" button at the top of this page and download there. Doh, didn't know it was available on PG site or I'd have done that. In the end it took 7 hours to download, and about 15 seconds to install. I get nervous when I see something as simple as a download handled so badly within a program, makes me wonder what else is badly handled.
