Biab has no midi sounds of it's own. None. It generates midi commands to trigger whatever synth you have. The Coyote Wavetable is nothing but your cheesy built in Windows synth PG gives you so a noobie has something to listen to until he realizes he needs something better.

Why would you say Realband sounds nicer? Sounds like you're misunderstanding something here. Midi is midi, whatever midi sounds you can hear in RB you should hear in Biab. Both programs can access the same sound source be it software synths, hardware synths or the RT's.

Garageband is ok but there's way better synths out there but they're not free.

This is one of the main reasons for the advent of the Real Tracks, to get those who don't like midi away from it but, like everything else in life there's a but, if you want to write in your own melody then you need midi. If you want a good realistic sax patch then you need a much better synth and that costs some cash. And so it goes, round and round.

No free lunch. The RT's are great, but... Midi is great, but...

Welcome to the world of digital audio.
