I have a DAW that I built some time back. My plan was to keep it off-line. I connect it to the net ONLY when I need to DL an update I think I need or to activate the software.
With some of the activation setups from some of these companies, It's just so much easier to do it on line vs using a USB thumb drive.
Of course if it's a number in email...... as long as you get all the numbers correct and the uppercase stuff......
I just plug in the cat5 and git-ur-done...
