Heck, you can find new ones almost as cheap now days....

Funny thing..... my daughters all seemed to burn through phones and computers..... both lappys as well as desktops....

Me, on the other hand, all of my computers still work and the same deal on my phones. I'm not saying I still use the old ones.... but I didn't replace them because they died.... it was a willing upgrade and retire the old one or forced upgrade for one reason or another and retire the old one grudgingly.

Heck... I still have my first computer....a DOS machine and the original floppys in their case with the DOS OS.... it's in the attic and went in there totally functional..... replaced by Windows something or other.
