Really that is a great idea. Still I would rather see them dig deep and finally fix four basic things in RB, before they build a VSTi, or Rewired version.

1. fix the tempo sync issue so that all VSTi work properly (mostly all)

2. upgrade the automation to include all the features of say a sonar/reaper/Studio one/Cubase type environment volume/panning plugins/etc/ the ability to draw automation and control the faders, adjust with the track faders the automation.

3. Open up the program where there is more than 48 tracks. While I have never had a project over 48 tracks, some folks do.

4. Related to number 3. upgrade the routing capability so that one can route tracks to VSTis, and VSTs with a bit more flexibility.

Yeah I know that this thread is for BiaB, but by extension, RB with these added upgrades would give BiaB users the DAW they want, one that natively opens BiaB files and carries the same basic functionality. The thought of being able to add BiaB architecture to any DAW is a cool idea. But finally taking RB to where it should be is a huge win.
