This may be a local issue but others may trip over the following.
During Beta Testing I found that I could audition RealTracks in BIAB but not in RealBand. This was reported at the time but I received no useful answer to the problem. Following the upgrade to 2015, I have looked into the matter more closely and found that while the BIAB could use both MEE and ASIO drivers, RB could use only MEE for this task. The information received via the Windows error messages were completely unhelpful.
During the testing, I received a yellow peril message in BIAB referring to the sampling rate for Speaker output as being 24 bit 96K Hz and warned that this could create sound problems. Refer to Windows Control Panel > Sound > Speaker > Advanced. I changed the settings to CD quality. When this setting was changed and by what, I don't know, but thank PGMusic for the warning.

Use 24/44.1 for your sampling rate setting. Or even 16/44.1 ... the important part is the 44.1k sample rate.
You should be able to click or double click on the real track in it's drop down window and it should start to play it's audition. Some need the internet.

I have resolved the problem of auditioning RealTracks which is affected by choice of Driver - the MME drivers are preferred. Interestingly, the setting for the Speaker Output may have contributed to the jerky action of the cursor during play. I need to do some more testing before I am convinced.

I am on Presonus ASIO and it works great here. I believe it has more to do with What Herb is saying, the sample rate and such matching in the program and the files
HP Win 11 12 gig ram, Mac mini Sonoma with 16 gig of ram, BiaB/RB 2026, Reaper 7, Harrison Mixbus 11 , Presonus Audiobox USB96

I have resolved the problem of auditioning RealTracks which is affected by choice of Driver - the MME drivers are preferred. Interestingly, the setting for the Speaker Output may have contributed to the jerky action of the cursor during play. I need to do some more testing before I am convinced. The "preferred" driver is a function of the sound card or interface. IT is the determining factor since it is normally designed to work with a certain specific driver. The better interfaces will work with all or most, but the factory sound cards in most computers you buy off the shelf will not function well with ASIO so in that case...yes.... MME is the preferred driver for most factory cards. No problem with that (MME on factory cards)....... however, MME has a difficult time processing soft synths and getting the audio to the speakers synced up with everything else. It seems to work OK on audio and smaller projects.
