Ptit lu all... Un pote m'a envoyé une réduction stéréo d'un Basse/batterie sur lequel il voudrait que j'essaie différentes chose. Le problème, c'est que c'est un truc qui tourne un peu en rond et ne m'inspire pas beaucoup. Du coup, j'ai eu l'idée de demander à BIAB ce qu'il pourrait bien y mettre s'il était moi.  Il ne s'agit pas de substituer mon travail à BIAB, mais juste de voir si ce bout de code ne pourrait pas me donner des idées à explorer. Quoi qu'il en soit, j'ai enquillé la réduction stéréo dans mon Cubase favori, j'y ai repéré la structure de manière à la rendre visuellement claire, et j'ai relevé les différentes grilles d'accords. J'ai tout ce qu'il faut pour démarrer, sauf un truc, je ne sais pas quelle serait la meilleure manière d'agir. Je m'explique, ce que j'aimerais, l'idéal, dans l'absolu, ce serait que BIAB soit synchronisé avec Cubase de manière à ce que je puisse le faire tourner derrière Cubase pour pouvoir y enregistrer des overdub. De cette manière, je pourrais dans un premier temps muter la basse et la batterie sur BIAB puisque je n'en ai pas besoin, puis, alterner entre différentes realtracks ou autre sur les autres pistes de l'arrangeur histoire d'explorer ce qui fonctionne le mieux. Je ne cherche pas à récupérer en WAVE ces pistes pour les importer dans Cubase (encore que ça pourrait m'être utile sur de futurs projets mais c'est pas le sujet), mais uniquement à le faire tourner en parallèle pour pouvoir alterner entre les deux soft. Je sais que BIAB propose un mode Plugin, mais la dernière fois que je l'ai testé, y'a bien 2 ou 3 ans, ça s'est révélé être un fiasco pour moi. Quelqu'un aurait des pistes? Une vidéo tuto? Bref, des idées à me proposer? Merci d'avance pour votre aide à tous.

Bonjour Spawn-X,
Je n'utilise pas Cubase, mais je ne suis pas certain que ce que tu veux faire (BIAB et Cubase en parralèlle) soit possible ...?
Mais pourquoi ne pas rentrer directement ton fichier Basse/Batterie dans BIAB et utiliser la reconnaissance d'accords ?
Une fois synchronisée, la piste devient utilisable dans BIAB avec différents styles adaptés et peut être enrichie avec des realtracks, super midi tracks ... etc ...
C'est peut-être déjà une première approche et une base de réflexion !

Bon, ben après expérimentations, euh... comment dire...
Je pige pas bien l'intérêt de ce "mode plugin"...
Avec un nom pareil, je m'attendais à ce que cette fonction permette réellement à BIAB de se comporter comme un plugin genre VSTi.
Par exemple, sous différents hôtes VST comme Cubase, il existe des plugins "séquenceurs" qui, une fois chargés, se comportent comme une partie intégrante de l'hôte en se synchronisant par exemple. On s'attend donc logiquement à ce que ce type de soft tiers démarre sa propre lecture en m^m temps que celle de l'hôte, et surtout, que cette lecture suive celle de l'hôte en synchro. Quasiment tous les éditeurs de plugins VST savent faire ce genre de truc avec notamment, un "position pointer" qui fait coïncider les mesures entre elles m^m en cas d'arrêt de lecture suivi d'une reprise depuis une autre position de la timeline.
Et bien avec BIAB, rien de tout ça!!!
Le pire, c'est que ce mode "plugin" ne présente pour tout intérêt que celui de permettre le drag&drop des pistes de BIAB vers l'explorateur Windows ou vers une DAW (ou STAN en Français) externe, autrement dit, c'est un comble qu'en 2014, on soit obligé de passer par un mode de fonctionnement spécifique de ce logiciel pour faire un truc que quasiment tous les acteurs de la MAO savent faire depuis plus de 10 ans...
Bref, je suis déçu.
En plus, il y a un truc chelou avec le drag&drop des pistes. Par exemple, si je glisse le master, il est alors censé m'exporter chaque piste séparément. Or, c'est bien ce qu'il fait, mais sans que je sache pourquoi, il me le fait en double, voir, en triple exemplaire pour chaque piste. Et évidement, une fois lancé, on ne dispose d'aucun moyen d'interrompre la manip...
Sérieusement PG, vous pourriez, l'espace d'une petite année, vous abstenir de mettre le paquet sur le développement de vos nouvelles RealTracks et cie pour investir ce temps dans un vrai R&D digne de ce nom et nous sortir enfin la version ultime que devrait être BIAB depuis au moins 10 ans? Ce serait juste... normal...

With Band-in-a-Box® 2026, we've released 202 incredible new RealTracks (in sets 468-488) in a variety of genres—featuring your most requested styles!
Jazz, Funk & World (Sets 468-475):
Our new jazz, funk & blues RealTracks include a groovin’ collection of RealTracks and RealDrums! These include more requested “soul jazz” RealTracks featuring artists Neil Swainson (bass), Charles Treadway (organ), Brent Mason (guitar), and Wes Little (drums). There are new “smooth jazz” styles (4), which include a RealTracks first: muted trumpet, as well as slick new smooth jazz brushes options for drums. Blues lovers will be thrilled—there are more “classic acoustic blues” styles, including guitar (5), bass (4), and drums (10) with blues master Colin Linden, featuring understated and tasty background acoustic soloing, plus brushes drums and acoustic bass.
