I have 2 SD2's and a Clav Pro, which I think are brilliant, so I picked up the SD1000 a little while ago expecting it to be a big improvement. The drums are horrible, the bass sounds disconnected and falls to bits when fed a MIDI file, and I now only use it in a studio setting for strings and a few of the voice options. I think they're a waste of money, the strings are nice but definitely not worth the price of the whole package. Learn from my mistake - Peter
