To say it's "slow" is relative.

My laptop was slow.... the DAW I built is not as slow.... but what does "Slow" really mean in seconds?


The idea of not letting BB/RB do the rendering....and instead, using a midi to wave rendering third party software solution sounds like a disaster waiting to happen..... You are stuck with using MIDI to create the wave...and that isn't the ideal way. Midi is generally very dry, or stiff sounding....

Let BB or RB take the time it needs to render....


If it's taking over a minute ...and that is really, really slow....you should call tech and let them help you discover the reason it's taking too long.

Even the "bigger" real tracks songs only take 15 to 20 seconds to regen in my machine and it's an i5 on XP/32 Pro.... Even if it took a full minute, I'd wait because the real tracks are SO worth it vs midi.... I don't use MIDI out of BB or RB. The only midi I use these days is midi I create by playing a part.
