This is STRANGE... I just replaced my M-Audio Fat Track Ultra because it was just too complex to deal with (and I am a software guy.. just not an audio guru.) I got a much simpler Focusright Scarlett 4i2. Well, it was so noisy (after installing and re-installing drivers) that I wiped my C-Drive and re-installed Windows 7 64-bit from scratch. Then I re installed all my drivers, essential programs etc.

Finally got a clean, pure sound. I was trying to show it off to my son, who was recording some Xmas tunes. We did one in C, and it sounded great. He decided it was too high, so I transposed the tune to Bb. He re-recorded the audio and the vocals were TOTALLY out of key. I restored factory settings, re-installed the USB drivers for the 4i2, tried different ASIO buffer sizes, tried MME (which used to work.. it's a quad core box) and tried ASIO4all.

Still, I can only record audio in the original key of the tune. I tried SAVING the song and re-recording, but the same results. This is driving me nuts. Any ideas? I am running Version 2015 (414)
