I'm flattered that my question has attracted your attention.

First of all I must say that although I criticize certain characteristics of the sliders, I think they bring a real improvement over the previous system limited to the setting of the volume by step of 1 or 5: with the sliders, it goes much faster to increase or decrease the volume of a track.

But the sliders have the disadvantage of being imprecise, and the right-click solution has the disadvantage of requiring to use the keyboard (which is a pity when one use a touchscreen tablet computer like my DELL XPS 18!)

That is why I propose, if it’s technically possible, to combine both systems: keep the sliders and add the small arrows to the right of the displays to adjust the levels by step of 1 (right click) or 5 (left click).
