After updating BiaB 2015 (all builds including 414) over an working 2014 version, the loopscn button in Notation view makes the program hang. It sounds like the last note is constantly replayed. The program does not react on any input, external termination/kill is required.
Resetting to factory presets does not help.
Looping over highlighted region in Chord sheet view works.
Anything I can do to make this work or help find and fix the problem?

Hi Sebastian, I have BIAB 2015 and I can't seem to get the loopscn button to misbehave. It works for me. Did you try pressing the space-bar to stop the playback? Also, it seems that it's necessary to click on the loopscn button a second time to deactivate the button. This can be done when the song is playing. Lastly, the "Panic!" (shortcut key = F12) option will usually stop BIAB playing those strange notes that drone on. They are usually a result of midi. This could happen if you have a midi melody, or any other midi tracks, playing.  Hope this helps, Noel P.S. If none of the above work, could you please let me know which style you have loaded? I'll try and recreate your set-up.

Hi Noel,
thanx for your try, this does not help.
After pressing the loopscn button BiaB hangs and takes no input at all. Neither spacebar nor F12 and of course no mouseclicks.
This happens with all styles, even the RealTrack only styles with no Midi involved.
I have installed BiaB on an other computer (without all the real tracks and sound hardware attached) and loopscn works, of course.
It looks like this has something to do with the update of my old 2014

One is Win7 Professional, the other Win7 Ultimate, both 64Bit
I would like to avoid a complete re-install :-(

Sebastian, From my experience, the only part of BIAB that ever needs installing is the BIAB/RB program files. This is only a few hundred megabytes in size (as opposed to the full install of 90 or so gigabytes). That being said, I don't think there's any need to consider that yet  I have a few other ideas worth trying first. To help me get a clearer picture of your set-up, though, I'd appreciate knowing the following. 1. Is BIAB located in c:\bb on both computers? 2. Were both computers running BIAB 2014 with the present operating systems? 3. Was loopscn in version 2014 working correctly on both systems? 4. Was the song fully generated before entering notation mode and engaging loopscn? 5. Have you reset to factory settings (under the "Opt" menu)? - I've found that when BIAB stops doing what it normally does, a return to factory settings is the first thing to try.
- Firstly choose the top option to reset as that will keep your sound drivers setup. If that doesn't work, then try the lower option but make sure you save your set-up so that you can reload if the problem is not solved.
- BIAB will need to be shutdown and restarted after doing this.
6. Have you tried a couple of different song files just to make sure that it's not a corrupt SGU/MGU file that's causing the problem? - What I suggest here is to go into Stylepicker and load the demo song for some style.
- Simply click once on the style and then choose the button at the top of the screen that says "Load Song Demo". Exit Stylepicker using OK.
- Generate the song demo.
- Does the problem persist?

Thanx again for your suggestions.
With the demo songs in appears to work. My own songs are located on a NAS, after copying them to the local HD looping works.
Using a dedicated faster link to the NAS seems to improve the situation. So it appears it makes a huge difference from what device BiaB is loding songs.
May I expect BiaB to be able to run songs from a network file system or is local storage required for all parts?
When loading from the NAS, I once got an error message from BiaB "Duplicate call to PossiblyGetPreloadBuff". Maybe this gives a hint whats going wrong here.
