I have not had a problem with this function previously and it would therefore seem it is related to the new 2015 version.
I am using the Audiophile version with the latest update installed. External drive, as supplied by PG Music. Toshiba laptop - powerful and 64 bit.
OS is Windows 7 Professional 64-bit.
Here is the problem:
The copy function is no longer working. Specifically I was entering the tune "St. Thomas", where the second four bars are exactly the same as the first four bars. I had previously entered all the chords.
I entered the first four bars in the Melody track (renamed trumpet) with correct note values, and with notation symbols (there are lots of staccatos).
The cursor is sitting at the beginning of Bar 5. Go to 'Edit' menu and select 'Copy From.. To.." Copy from Bar # '1', Chorus # '1' Num Bars to Copy '4' Copy to Bar # '5' Copy Melody box is ticked # times to repeat copy '1' X
Press the 'OK' button. Result = NOTHING
I tried some other examples, switched off and rebooted. Returned to Factory settings. The result was still a failure to make the copy.
Hi Graham No problems here with 2015. I tried copying 4 bars, then 8 bars This was my setup (check your check-boxes settings compared to mine)

Hi Graham You mentioned "result: nothing" Did it copy the bars but no melody, or absolutely zilch happened? My test didn't include any melody, just bars, so I don't know if melody would be copied. Trev

I was only trying to copy the melody line of the first four bars of St Thomas into the second four bars of the first chorus. Everything else was already there. So the only box I had ticked was "Copy Melody"
Can I ask why you had the "Copy 1st Chorus to Whole Song" box ticked? That did not apply in my case because there were no repeats of the Melody. Reason being that the solo choruses of "St Thomas" have a slightly different progression to the Melody line. Or perhaps I misunderstand the function of that box. I'll try it ticked.
I never had a problem with this function in BB2014 but I am wondering if, as somebody suggested, it had something to do with the 64 bit OS. As a matter of fact my computer has been trying to download the latest IE update from Microsoft - "Internet Explorer 11 for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems" - for about a couple of weeks. It fails every day but I note that other people around the world are having the same problem. I can't find a solution given anywhere on the Microsoft sites. But it maybe has nothing to do with my BB problem, just another MS frustration.
It is just interesting that you guys do not seem to have the same problem with a simple copy. Thanks for helping.
