I was only trying to copy the melody line of the first four bars of St Thomas into the second four bars of the first chorus. Everything else was already there. So the only box I had ticked was "Copy Melody"

Can I ask why you had the "Copy 1st Chorus to Whole Song" box ticked? That did not apply in my case because there were no repeats of the Melody. Reason being that the solo choruses of "St Thomas" have a slightly different progression to the Melody line. Or perhaps I misunderstand the function of that box. I'll try it ticked.

I never had a problem with this function in BB2014 but I am wondering if, as somebody suggested, it had something to do with the 64 bit OS. As a matter of fact my computer has been trying to download the latest IE update from Microsoft - "Internet Explorer 11 for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems" - for about a couple of weeks. It fails every day but I note that other people around the world are having the same problem. I can't find a solution given anywhere on the Microsoft sites. But it maybe has nothing to do with my BB problem, just another MS frustration. frown

It is just interesting that you guys do not seem to have the same problem with a simple copy. Thanks for helping.
