That was similar to my thoughts.....^^^^^

Does the software (real band) you are recording into allow more than 2 inputs at a time? I do not use RB as my DAW so I never looked into whether RB supports more than 2 inputs, and since my interface is 2 channels only... it's kind of a moot point for me anyway....

For example, Cakewalk's Music Creator series only allows 2 active inputs at a time.... regardless of the interface's ability to deliver more. Sonar, on the other hand does allow more than 2 if the interface can deliver them.

Next, do you have the interface routing set up properly? With a new interface, there's a learning curve and I know that the Focusrite brand has a control panel to set up levels and such internally and separate from the DAW.... it took me the better part of a week to finally get my control panel understood and set up properly so that I could get any sound out of it at all....
