The subject of re-write is a Very Major task. Objectively, the program currently could currently have 30 man-years of development investment. Maybe more.

Realistically, enhancements to the UI and more practical layout of the menus and controls is very much a requirement. So is removing the legacy DOS 8.3 stuff.

PGM will be the only ones to actually make the decision on which direction to undertake, but I think there is consensus that one way or another, something needs to be done.

I remember reading this article some years ago. I think it fits well here.
