Thanks Noel and Trevor, that fixed the problem. It is embarrassing to find out how little one knows about some aspects of the program but I can honestly say that I have never had a use for the Loop function. I was looking for a setting in Preferences - I see now there is one in Overrides.

I did return to factory settings because the first problem I had was with the copy function not working. That problem occurred with one particular tune that came from the archives of another BB group and to which I had made a huge number of alterations. I discovered later that the copy function worked fine on newer files, but I had already returned to factory settings trying to correct the problem.

A question that interests me is: Are the settings transferred from one version to the next when you buy the new version on an external drive? I find that I always have to set up my Preferences with a new version and for that purpose I keep screen print copies so that I know how it was.
