I would like the BIAB Editable Notation Mode to have the 1 peg feature that Real Band current offers. This will allow the user to move one note forward or backward by using the Alt + Arrow key to move easily when entering notes. Real Band has this feature already installed and it works fantastic. Would like to see it incorporated into BIAB as well.

It sounds so reasonable that I thought there already is a way to do it! But I've forgotten it, if there is. I need to check out "step edit".
If it really isn't there, then +1

Can't you just drag the note to ehere you want it?
I think you may have to adjust the length of the previous note by clicking on it if you separate notes.

With RealBand, when I enter notes in editable notation, I ALT+Arrow Keys to move one note placement or "peg" forward or backward. To insert a note at that location, I hit the key on the piano graphic. So with my left hand I can navigate the score to where I want to place and note and with my right hand using the mouse hit the note on the piano. Wella....note inserted where I want it. This technique works well for me when I am entering in the lead notes in the SOLO instrument. Again....in RealBand.
Band In the Box does not do this. Wondered why not?

I always use the mouse to enter notes. Put the pointer to the position and click. One handed operation.
The alt cnt and shift keys provide sharp, flat and natural if needed
