I agree the NeoSoul Keys are great - I only have them installed on my Motif XS7 however, not as VSTi.

Back to recording I agree recording IN BIAB is less then straight forward, however having said that:

-Set a VSTi, may as well let it be NeoSoulKeys, on the Thru channel in VSTi pull down or via MIXER, this then allows you to HEAR the sound as you record it.

-Next , hit record and select either Melodist of Soloist track, that’s simply the track where THE MIDI data will end up as you record - it WILL NOT SOUND during recording from that track, irrespective of any VSTi that may or may not be set on that track.

-Record song

-IMPORTANT BEFORE playback - insert the another copy of NeoSoulKeys but now the Melodist or Soloist track, as case may be, (yes , could have done this at same time you set a VSTi on the Thur track)

Now all should be GOOD as long as: see pics 1 and 2 for some Thur settings.

Save the song the recorded MIDI data (on either Sol/Mel tracks), and BOTH VSTi settings on Thur and Mel/Sol track SHOULD be saved?

Just did all that as test using Fishman Triple Play guitar and XS7,

HOWEVER, please note when you re-open the song the Thru track has the right VSTi in the VSTi pull-down for Thru but WRONG name in mixer window - that appears to be a glitch
