Hallo Forum!
Bin neu hier und das erste Mal online und habe schon ein Problem, bei dem ich nicht weiter komme.
Habe Band in A Box ganz neu erworben und installiert. Es ist die Version 2014 Mega Pak. In der Beschreibung steht, dass alle verfügbaren styles (Set 0 bis 77 = 1500 MIDI styles) plus über 160 Real tracks vorhanden sind.
Wenn ich jetzt den style-picker öffne steht oben bei "Alle Styles" 4283 ??? Das wundert mich schon mal. So viele habe ich doch gar nicht erworben? Und fast alle werden nicht geladen wenn ich sie auswähle und OK drücke. Wie kann ich denn sehen, welche styles ich jetzt wirklich zur Verfügung habe?

Herzlich willkommen im Forum.
Es gibt im Hilfe-Menü einen Punkt ungefähr in der Mitte, der heißt (englisch) "What add-ons do I have?". Damit zeigt Dir Band-in-a-Box an, welche Zusatzprodukte Du installiert hast.
Es kann sein, dass -- das vermute ich nur, aber ich weiß es nicht -- Du alle Styles bekommen hast, Dir aber wegen des beschränkten Umfangs des Mega-PAKs natürlich die entsprechenden Real-Tracks fehlen. Wenn dem so ist, kennt nur PGMusic den Grund.
Du solltest aber auf jeden Fall alle Nur-Midi-Styles aufrufen können. Alle Styles sind an ihrem ersten Zeichen erkennbar:
_ (Unterstrich): Alle Instrumente sind RealTracks.
= (Gleichheitszeichen): Ein Midi-Style mit mindestens einem RealTrack und (meistens) RealDrums
- (Bindestrich, Minuszeichen): Ein Midi-Style mit RealDrums
M_ ("M" + "Unterstrich"): Styles aus Real und Super MidiTracks.
Alle Styles, die sonst mit einem Buchstaben, außer "M_" beginnen, sind Midi-Styles.
Vielleicht hilft Dir das ein bisschen weiter.

Vielen Dank für den Tipp. Ich werde das nachschauen und wieder Bescheid geben. In der Anleitung habe ich auch gelesen, dass die grau hinterlegten Styles alles RealTracks sind.

Ich habe nochmal mit den styles experimentiert. Manche gehen, aber die meissten lassen sich nicht laden. Gibt es wirklich keine Möglichkeit, nur die Styles im Style-Picker anzeigen zu lassen, die ich auch tatsächlich erworben habe?
So arbeiten ist wirklich sehr mühsam.
Öffne ich den Style-Picker, zeigt er bei Kategorie "Alle Styles" 4283 Stck an. Die wenigsten davon lassen sich laden.
Bitte helft mir.

Zuerst einmal, ich kann das nicht nachvollziehen, weil bei mir anscheinend alle Styles funktionieren. Wir brauchen also zuerst mehr Informationen: - Beispiele von Styles, die sich öffnen lassen,
- Beispiele von Stlyes, die sich nicht öffnen lassen.
- Lässt sich ein Muster feststellen?
Was heißt, "lässt sich nicht öffnen"? Wenn ich RealTracks verschwinden lasse (der Ordner bekommt einen anderen Namen), dann wird der Style trotzdem geöffnet, aber die fehlenden Instrumente fehlen halt.

Wie viele Styles sind denn in Deinem BB-Ordner?
Der StylePicker zählt, wenn er seine "Datenbank" neu aufbaut, alle diese Style-Dateien.
Diese Dateien hast Du. BIAB hat keine interne Datenbank mit Informationen, was Du gekauft hast. Schließlich darfst Du ja selbst Styles machen, sie geschenkt bekommen, im Internet finden oder bei Norton und Finetuned kaufen...

Zu deinen Fragen:
Wenn ich den Style Picker öffne, zeigt er unter "Alle Styles" an dass es 4283 Stck gibt.
Wenn ich ein Häkchen setzte bei "verwende Internet" kann ich natürlich alle Demos anhören. Wenn ich aber das Häkchen weglasse höre ich z.B. alle Styles, die mit
_ (Unterstrich) beginnen. Die sind auch alle grau unterlegt.
Wenn ich diese in meinem Song verwenden will werden sie fast alle nicht geladen (das meine ich mit öffnen).
Gehe ich der Reihe nach alphabetisch durch die Styles, lassen sich folgende laden: _ACCNTRY.STY, dann _BGBAND8.STY, *_BGMEDLY.STY (jetzt bin ich beim 26. angekommen) usw... Die drei befinden sich auch im BB-Ordner.
Ich vermute jetzt auch an was das liegt. Alle Demos, die nicht im Song geladen werden sind .WMA - Dateien. Im BB - Ordner befinden sich 2487 Dateien mit der Endung .STY.
Aber dann frage ich mich, wieso beim Öffnen vom Style Picker über 4000 Dateien angezeigt werden? Das sind ja dann wohl gar nicht alles Styles. Kann ich die trotzdem irgendwie verwenden oder zumindes so filtern, dass wirklich nur die angezeigt werden, die ich auch im Song laden kann?

Wenn du im Stylepicker-Fenster bist, müsste unten links "Re-Build" stehen.
Wenn du drauf drückst, fragt dich Band in a Box ob du die aktuelle Liste löschen willst und er nur die hoch laden soll die in deinem Ordner sind.
Hat bei mir geklappt, hatte das selbe Problem.

Das mit der Anzahl ist ein bisschen schwierig. Ich hatte ein anderes Problem und Andrew von PGMusic wusste zu diesem Zeitpunkt nicht, was der StylePicker beim Aufbau seiner Liste alles zählt. Ich hatte ihn via TeamViewer sogar auf meinen Rechner gelassen. Ich habe auf zwei Rechnern unterschiedliche Ergebnisse.
Wenn Du eine .sty-Datei hast, dann sollte die auch geöffnet werden. Du kannst, wenn der Tip von Kurt für Dich nicht funktioniert, mal probieren, diesen Style in RealBand einem Song zuzuordnen.
Vielleicht musst Du aber auch nur das Programm nochmal neu installieren. Manchmal spinnt der Installer und wird irgendwie von seiner Aufgabe abgelenkt. Einfach nochmal installieren und neu probieren. Wenn etwas nach der Installation nicht funktioniert, installiere ich nochmal und bisher war immer alles gut. Ausnahme: Es war ein Fehler, den andere auch bereits festgestellt hatten. Hier hilft das Lesen im (englischsprachigen) Forum.

Zuerst mal habe ich im Stylepicker keinen Button o.ä. "Rebuilt" (ich habe eine Deutsche Version, da müsste es ja wiederherstellen o.ä. heissen).
Dann habe ich gelesen, dass alle Styles in der Datei BBW.LST sind. Diese Datei habe ich spasseshalber mal mit dem Editor geöffnet und siehe da, da sind wirklich nur .sty - Dateien. Die Liste scheint schon mal zu stimmen.
Leute, ich verstehe die Welt nicht mehr. Jetzt habe ich soeben Band In A Box geschlossen und nochmal neu geöffnet, und siehe da, jetzt hat mein Stylepicker wie von Geisterhand 2383 Styles. Alle funktionieren. Was ist denn da passiert????
Auf jeden Fall danke ich euch sehr für die Tipps. Es funktioniert jetzt wie ich es mir vorstelle und wie es sein soll.

der Re-Build-Button ist der erste links unter der Style-Liste. (Rechts daneben sind dann, in dieser Reihenfolge: Print, CSV, Search, ...) Es tut mir leid, ich habe die deutsche Version nicht. Ein Re-Build wird automatisch gemacht, wenn Du BBW.LST aus dem System nimmst (löschen, umbenennen, ...) und einen Style mit dem Picker auswählen willst.
