OK, that's what I thought you might mean. In the case of RealTracks strings, there are indeed large differences in the attack time (and I'm glad of it). When I find a string part I like for sound, but it attacks too slowly, I use Play, Slide Tracks with a larger negative number on the strings to start them playing earlier. By the time you are aware of them in the mix, they are sounding with a nice balance.

I suppose you could play around with a hard gate and only let the strings sound when the intensity exceeded the gate, but I think that would sound pretty abrupt. A compressor might be more the trick.
