Even if everything is positive -- my travel expenses aren't. If PGMusic hosted such an event, it would probably be close to the company's site. For me there are eleven time zones to cover. I wouldn't spend that much time and money.

However, if PGMusic would sponsor local get-togethers,
  • let's say a Saturday on different places around the earth,
  • somwhere where a substantial number of people can travel to in two to three hours (they know where the majority of their customers are),
  • with an expert providing tips and tricks on a given topic,
I would even pay a fee to get in -- if the topic is of interest for me.

An event like this could even be very economic using the ressources available to PGMusic's customers -- rooms with no or almost no rent, for instance.

I'd rather have a company that is investing excess money in developing the product and keep the prizes at a moderate level instead of giving it a away to the lucky few who by accident live in the neighborhood.
