I was complaining to my son one day about how I had come to despise the blues... he replied that it's probably because you hear so much of it that just isn't played well; But when you hear somebody get it right, you can't help but get captivated by it and want to play along. Ever since he said that, I've found it to be true... you can't judge a genre by the worst it has to offer, you have to seek the best.

Since coming to this forum, I've really fallen in love with the blues all over again. And Tommy, your songs are part of that renewal. This song is a good example of the blues done well. All of the parts you chose for this song are spot on... soulfully played, nothing contrived or automated sounding about it at all.

The crowd noises are a very nice finishing touch, but IMO, the song stands firm even without that.

As I write this review, I've let the player keep playing your other songs, and I'm struck by the sincerity and down-to-earth quality of all your songs. To my way of thinking, you are the real deal, Tommy. I appreciate all the musical thoughts and opinions you shared during my visit. When I finally get around to posting something, it will probably be blues, inspired by the one and only .. Tommy Adams!
