So I tried a little experiment today.

I started with a song sample from #37 World Styles 2 called scandi_1.sty- a little song called "Fields of Hay". The melody really gets under my skin, so I decided to try making up my own song using that style.

I made a new song using the style but it didn't generate a melody so I tried creating one from the soloist and after several attempts got what I was looking for- at least by freezing all the tracks I could bring in the "323* New Age Atmosphere" solo instrument and had it playing some nice little leads that fit the song (along with pnomood1.sty). But, Nothing that sounds anything close to the melody in the demo track.

Is that because
-BiaB takes special steps to craft a demo track that has a little more research into a particular style
-it's a function of the chords I selected for my song, which were simpler than those in the demo?
-There's a setting somewhere that I can change to mold a solo closer to whats in the style demo?

For example in the "Select Soloist" dialog box I have hundreds of instruments to choose from but limited styles.

In the 'Soloist Editor" box there is a button to change the style, which brings me back into Folder #37 World Styles 2, but that is not where the styles themselves reside apparently....it is looking for a *.STY file. Where do those reside?
