Hi Rob,
I had to chuckle over the rhyme between CHANCES and ANSWERS... in Oz it's a near perfect rhyme.. in the USA, not so much! I just love the way regional accents affect the song writing process!
You really have a great voice... reminiscent of Elvis... I'd guess you've been told that before.
Regarding this song, I really like the cadence. It would make a great live sing-along song. Do you perform live? If so, I'd be curious to hear how this goes over when you play it in front of an audience.

Hi Pat. Thanks for your in depth observations. I really appreciate your regional accent comment, Ive never thought of that before. Yes I get compared to Elvis all the time and although its a flattering it can also be embarrassing. As young boy I was influenced by a lot of similar sounding artists and some not similar. Dean Martin,Roy Orbison,Burl Ives, Elvis,The Beatles,Ricky Nelson and Johnny Cash. I suppose their influence helped develop my style although I don't really try to sound like any of them. I haven't played live for about eight years and when I did I rarely performed my own songs. At this stage I have no real ambition to play live.
