Hi to everybody

I post a new song "Portovenere"

Interesting song.
The style didn't remind me of an ancient fishing village though.

First Portovenere looks absolutely beautiful! I have not had the privilege to visit Europe and some it's ancient villages.

I really enjoyed the stark saxophone intro and the way you left it dry - no reverb (at least to my ears, I didn't hear any reverb).

You have a nice tune here. It may be that some of the low to middle-low frequencies between the bass guitar, your fender guitar and perhaps the kick drum are stepping on each other. The result being that your sweet fender is not as present as it could be in the mix.

thank you for sharing

Good work Sergio.
The intro was a little dry other than that great.

I hope someday to visit such areas.
This song is very captivating and
held my attention from the first note
to the end. I like the feel created by
the sax, your guitar and the distorted
rhythm guitar.

Very nice!

Nice song!

I agree with all of the comments, especially with the cognitive dissonance between the song's style and it's association with an ancient fishing village. Can I ask what aspect of the ancient village prompted such a modern theme?

In the same sense that CD liners and album covers typically contain extra info about the songs so the listener can gain insights to the song writer's intent, it can be helpful to include your thoughts about the musical choices you made for a project.

Often this includes lyrics, but this song is an instrumental. I appreciate the information about RT used , what instrument you played, and the short mention of Portovenere. But now I'm curious to understand the relationship between the title and the content.

Maybe it reminds you of music you heard at a tavern while on vacation there?

Maybe when you're on vacation you get inspired to write songs, and this song's inspiration came during a visit to this village?

Something else?
;-)

Hi Pat

Portovere is a fishing village but the time has passed.
probably my music has been inspired by thinking about the way
to go in Portovenere (Highway through the mountains and then
finally you see the sea)
However, in a possible next trip to Italy you should visit those places. Portovenere and "Cinque Terre" area. Too beautiful!

Hello.

Hi,

Sax is good but maybe a bit loud compared to the lead guitar.

Yeh in an open top sports car, I believe the Italians make one or two good examples cool

I enjoyed that vision to your song
We have some bays like that in West Wales, off the beaten track and at the end of narrow roads
Beautiful
