Nice song!

I agree with all of the comments, especially with the cognitive dissonance between the song's style and it's association with an ancient fishing village. Can I ask what aspect of the ancient village prompted such a modern theme?

In the same sense that CD liners and album covers typically contain extra info about the songs so the listener can gain insights to the song writer's intent, it can be helpful to include your thoughts about the musical choices you made for a project.

Often this includes lyrics, but this song is an instrumental. I appreciate the information about RT used , what instrument you played, and the short mention of Portovenere. But now I'm curious to understand the relationship between the title and the content.

Maybe it reminds you of music you heard at a tavern while on vacation there?

Maybe when you're on vacation you get inspired to write songs, and this song's inspiration came during a visit to this village?

Something else?
;-)
