BobLove the contrast of your voice and the solo piano. Excellent - really enjoyed this. Praise indeed from a master like yourself!! Janice and BudShort but sweet. We liked the sparse arrangement. Really
pretty piano and great tone.
It would make a wonderful video.
We much enjoyed the listen! Thank you so much. Yeh a video would fit well but I would need permission from the lady in question 1st as she should be in the video. We intend to SKYPE this weekend so she will soon hear it for the 1st time. *gulp*  Herb I'm glad (I think) that this worked out for you with her....
I'm reminded of the country song "Thank God for unanswered prayers".... Wow that's a song and I too see the resemblance in the lyrics, thanks for the link. I enjoyed that song!! Well, you old romantic, Alyn!
A very unpretentious love song - simple and honest and to the point. Nicely done my friend.
Just this time I'm going to disagree with Greg (who's opinion I respect and usually share) and say that I think it works well with just the straightforward piano. I think strings might make it just a bit too sentimental.
Will there be a sequel?

That "loop" was in the pad from the Korg M1 VSTi; a sort of windchimey effect.

I love this Alyn, nothing is coming as a surprise from you any more as your have shown that you can write songs in so many different styles.

Love this one. Loved the harmonies. Did you sing them yourself? As the others have said. I enjoyed the arrangement. I am sitting on the verander I had to check whether the birds were signing inside or outside of my head.

Thank you for that, BIAB plays a good part in the realisation of the style changes, but my musical upbringing was varied to begin with. Or maybe its my brain 'cos I see your "forum-name" as musi-clover.  JosieCYeh all vocals are me, I have never had quests on my songs apart from my cat miaowing on one, years back!! I am sitting on the verander I had to check whether the birds were signing inside or outside of my head. That is nice imagery as I look at the rain pouring down outside. Hi Alyn, This is a terrific write. There are no better songwriting tools than Honesty and Sincerity and they ring loud and clear in these lyrics. It's also a great piano Realtrack and I thought it was excellent match for the style of song. A wonderful presentation! All the best, Noel
