It might be easier for you to record in Realband (RB). If you have a PC version of BIAB that's relatively recent, RB is included. The BIAB MGU/SGU file can be opened directly in RB.

RB will let you monitor your input audio and this is probably what's needed since you're coming from the amp's audio out. RB also makes it much easier to punch-in audio corrections.

Once audio is recorded, saving the file as MGU or SGU should then allow it to open in BIAB again (save it with a new file name though just in case you need to get back to the original file).

P.S. When using RB, it will take longer to generate the song. This is because RB fully completes the generating process before playing (BIAB, on the other hand, starts playing before generation is complete).
