I spend most of my time with Band-in-a-Box producing lead sheets for the several small bands in which I play. Actually, my productions are probably one step up from a lead sheet, often containing arranged sections and special instructions for particular instruments. The several people I know who use BB all use it for this same purpose. Easily readable Chords, musical notes and Section Text are all ultra important and it is great that most of the font sizes and positioning are readily controllable.

As a consequence, I make a lot of entries of Section Text, which leads to my question. Is there some way of changing the font size without changing the bar height in the 'Print Options' window, 'Font Size'? I usually have this set at 22 (I know 24 is the default) but that does not leave enough room for chords, instructions and large headings (Verse, Chorus - usually boxed) between the staves. None of my mates has an answer for this.

Incidentally, I like very much the new Bar-Based Section Letters and the way it moves over any text instructions you in the first bar of a section. That is a very good idea and I am wondering if the principle of avoiding collisions used here could be extended to all the other musical notations. There is another notation program that does this and it would be nice if we could have it in Band-in-a-Box. It would save me maybe as much as 50% of the time I put into the production of each tune, because shifting things around so they do not collide is the main time waster. This feature, combined with the fact that BB is perhaps the fastest way of entering the actual musical would make it even more of a world-beater.
