I'm looking at an Asus Transformer Book T100 tablet for BIAB. It's a tablet with a dock. For live gigs, I'd like to use the tablet portion only for BIAB and connect to my Midi keyboard. There is a microUSB port on the tablet part which is labeled for charging. Does anyone know if this can be used for output to Midi instead? I've posted on the Asus forum and no responses yet.

Hi Rachael. It's hard to know if it is a charging port only. Is it located close to the power supply connection to the tablet? Often, manufacturers recommend connecting external devices that require power (e.g. removable HDD) to a USB port closest to the power connector. Minimizes voltage drop and load on the internal circuit boards. There are a number of YouTube videos, might help:
