Bonjour,
J'ai découvert BIAB 2014 et je suis fasciné par ses possibilités.
Je travaille également avec Cubase.
En fait, je voudrais créer un morceau MIDI avec Cubase, l'exporter vers BIAB pour profiter des styles et des RealTracks. Sauvegarder. Exporter à nouveau dans Cubase. Je l'ai fait et ça marche. Mais la piste créée dans Cubase contient toutes les pistes du style (bass, batterie, etc). Je voudrais les obtenir sur des pistes séparées dans Cubase. Est-ce possible? Une manip spéciale à l'export?

Bonsoir, n'ayant pas Cubase, je réponds avec les réserves qui s'imposent ... Créer un morceau midi tout en profitant des styles BIAB + Realtracks/Realdrums, sur des pistes séparées, n'est possible que sous la forme de fichiers spécifiques BIAB (SGU/MGU). L'exportation d'un tel morceau vers un logiciel "étranger" (autre que BIAB ou Realband) ne pourra se faire à priori, qu'avec des pistes regroupées dans un format unique classique (wav, mp3, ...) Je pense que la solution pourrait être d'exporter séparément chaque piste dans son format adapté (midi, Wave) et de les synchroniser dans Cubase. Si un utilisateur de BIAB + Cubase passe par là, il aura certainement un conseil plus complet à te donner ...  Cordialement boowoo3

Bonjour,
En fait j'ai trouvé la solution.
A la préparation de l'export en WAV (de BIAB vers Cubase), quand on veut n'exporter qu'une seule pîste, il ne faut pas cliquer sur Mute (qui ne désactive que l'écoute), mais il faut cliquer sur geler (le glaçon), 3ème à droite sur chaque piste. Et là, SUPER!!!
J'ai donc réalisé mon rêve:
- 1°) partir d'une piste MIDI de Cubase
- 2°) l'importer en MIDI sur BIAB
- 3°) la travailler avec des RealTracks/ Drums, etc (les sons extra de BIAB)
- 4°) exporter chaque piste du style en WAV (c'est un peu long, mais ça vaut le coup)
- 5°) récupérer les WAV sur Cubase de façon à les caler et les mixer avec le reste.
Le rendu est fabuleux: guitare électrique, contrebasse, balais super humains, super naturels. Ca sonne tout de suite et ça donne une autre classe aux maquettes.

J'utilise moi aussi les deux logiciels, mais face aux limitations de BIAB, je me contente d'exporter les pistes depuis BIAB vers Cubase en audio et/ou MIDI une fois que mon travail de programmation est terminé dans ce logiciel.
Le mode Plugin de BIAB étant une vaste blague, j suis obligé de me contenter de ça en espérant un jour voir PG se décider à développer un veritable mode Plugin permettant, par exemple, d'ouvrir BIAB "DANS" Cubase sous forme de plugin VST, ou, à défaut, d'implémenter une technologie de synchronisation type Rewire de Proppelerhead.
En attendant, on est obligé, soit de se satisfaire d'un travail distinct sur les deux logiciels, soit de se tourner vers Real Band qui n'est clairement pas la panacée face à Cubase...

Pour préciser un peu ma façon de faire:
Cubase reste mon logiciel principal depuis 1987 (dur de changer d'habitudes dans ces condition)...
De fait, j'y enregistres toutes mes pistes instrumentales et/ou vocales. Mais généralement, je pars d'une idée mélodique de base et d'une grille d'accords de base plus ou moins avancée selon mes besoins.
Une fois que j'ai la trame harmonique de base (merci à la piste ACCORDS de Cubase qui fait gagner énormément de temps m^m si perfectible), j'exporte ma piste mélodique avec ses éventuelles pistes d'harmonisation (guitares à la tierce, quinte, ou autre, ou choeurs, etc...) en WAVE, puis, j'ouvre un nouveau projet BIAB dont je règle le tempo à l'identique, avant d'y importer la piste WAVE en question. A partir de là, je vérifie le calage du tempo, j'apporte les éventuelles modifications de tempo et de signatures rythmiques, ainsi que les changements de clefs, et je place les changements de parties en respectant ma structure "à plat", c'est à dire que j'ai abandonné l'idée d'utiliser les fonctions de direction (reprises, coda, etc...) de BIAB qui ne fonctionnent pas toujours à la perfection et tendent à rendre le projet chaotique.
Ensuite, je charge un style d'accompagnement simple, genre "FEUDECAMP" pour peaufiner la grille d'accords, et ajouter les éventuelles pêches, anticipations, silences, bref, les breaks. Une fois que je suis satisfait, j'explore les différents styles en plaçant certaines pistes en solo car il arrive qu'une piste d'une style donné (par exemple Raggae) fonctionne bien dans un arrangement d'un autre style (hard-rock ou autre).
Du coup, il m'arrive souvent de "sauvegarder sous" différents noms de manière à récupérer facilement les pistes diverses qui m'intéressent.
Il m'arrive en effet souvent de récupérer sous Cubase jusqu'à 12 ou 15 pistes de BIAB uniquement pour les instruments non-percussifs.
Pour récupérer les pistes, j'utilise la fonction "Mode Plugin" dont le seul intérêt réside dans le fait de pouvoir drag&droper les pistes de BIAB soit directement dans la fenêtre principale de Cubase, soit dans un dossier de Windows.
Dans tous les cas, je récupère le tout sur Cubase, et là, je monte ce que je veux en conserver en coupant certaines pistes du les couplets ou en les conservant sur les refrains etc...
Comme je suis guitariste, les pistes de guitare que je récupère de BIAB, je les retravaille pour les jouer moi m^m autant que faire se peut.
Ensuite, je mixe et je fais mes prises finales sous Cubase le cas échéant.
Si BIAB offrait le mode Plugin VST ou REWIRE dont je rêve, on pourrait alors faire tourner les deux logiciels ensemble et gagner un temps fou ainsi que des capacités de mixage accrues. Il suffit de voir les possibilités du couple Cubase/Reason pour s'en convaincre.
