The astute observer of the Forum List page will note that today marks the birthday of Doru Malaia. He was a Romanian composer and electronic musician with 35 years of experience in the music and film industry. He was also the creator and proprietor of an Italian enterprise by that name which produced and sold samples and sound sets for various DAWs, most notably Refills for Propellerhead Reason.

I learned of his death in 2006. The website is gone, but his samples still abound in the 'Net and are available for free download. They are worthwhile to have. You can also hear his music on www.last.fm. I find it intriguing that he was a PG forum member. R.I.P., Doru Malaia.
