And I thought Cb Major was bad with 7 flats. John, yours is a nightmare.

If you google "chord entry for band in a box" that will take you to "Optional intelligent chord entry - PG Music Forums"
Talk about going around in circles.
I was trying to figure out how to write C79. I really did not to much care what inversion, from the tonic or root or the 1st or 2nd inversion.
I want a printed list of how to enter chords...does that exist?
And yes, I printed out the supported chords from help but I am not smart enough to understand what I am reading. Example... under the heading "Dominant 7th Chords" C7, ok I get that...next on the list is 7+..what on earth does that mean?
Oh, and world peace while you are at it.
The problem with "standard notation" is that it is not very standard...lol

That's very funny, about being directed to this thread. Maybe I'll be famous by Friday.
C79 should be written C9 in BIAB. The dominant 7 is implied.
Ray covered the plus sign, which stands for 'augmented' or raised fifth.
There is at least one place where you can see a list of chord types supported in BIAB. In the regular chordsheet - the main BIAB screen - right-click and select Chord Builder. Then find the pull-down menu that says "Maj". It's all there, including a few quirky spellings to avoid ambiguity. Music notation is MOSTLY standardized, but there are still plenty of anomalies out there.
