Last song on the Something Borrowed, Something Blue album. Dan Lippert on harmonica gets to strut his stuff.

John Jarvis piano, RT bass and drums. I played guitar and sang the vocal.

Well, I knew I'd like it as soon as I saw that a JJ piano RT and a harmonica were in the mix:)

Love the genre and dig this song! Nice playing and singing, smooth, like E.C.

Fun tune!! Very live feel. If I were you, I'd put some verb and/or slap on the vocal and maybe more on the instruments to give more of a roadhouse aura. Enjoyed it! Take care. Greg

Hi Fred,

This is a toe-tapper. I reckon one of the best genres around, ever, is that old-time, original rhythm and blues that leans towards 50s rock and roll!

'Better One Down The Road' is one heck of a listen. Everything about it is professional. From bar 1 it's perfectly clear that you and Dan are certainly no strangers to making music! Your singing and playing, and Dan's harmonica, are top notch, awesome.

Loved it.

Regards,
Noel

Nice. Makes me think Of Lightnin' Hopkins. He had a real nice lift on some of those old blues and you've got it here for sure.
