Bob, Both Josie's are correct. I'm 1,000% incredibly impressed with what you've brought to this song. I didn't know it could sound so good. Even though I wrote it, that first time I heard what you had done with it, it was like listening to a whole new song. Your honest and sincere performance awoke memories within me that I'd forgotten long ago. I cannot thank you enough for creating such a fine version of "Brighter Than Any Star". For a guy from the Florida backwoods...that's pretty dang sophisticated!!!
Exquisite, in fact!
Bob, you may have out-crooned Noel on this one - and he croons with the best of 'em! What an OUTSTANDING vocal - the recording is stellar and the singing is gorgeous (the harmonies, too). Heartfelt. Start to finish.
The orchestration - nice! the strings/vocal treatment was perfect. the "little touches" (oboe, I think... and triangle? and timpani flourishes) - nice!
A beautiful write. A beautiful song. A beautiful rendition.

fj, Thanks for the listen and kind remarks. I had a lot of fun with this one. Strings, oboe, French horn, timpani, bells, choir. Ended up with 122 tracks in Sonar.  Hard to go wrong with such a great song. Regards, Bob
