I like the melody, but you don't indicate which tracks were recorded by you, and which tracks were generated by Band-in-a-Box or RealBand, specially the beautiful strings.

I had to go back and find the original and have a listen.
This was and is a great song. Both versions deliver a memorable performance. I like both versions.
The piano & strings based second version add a new dimension to the song. Which one's better? Well, I'd hate to be the judge on THAT panel.

Beautifully done!! This version is more polished and radio ready. Vocals and strings are really nice. But, I always love hearing songwriters doing their own songs too. So, glad I had the chance to listen to both! Take care. Greg

I remember this one from before. Like Herb, I like both versions. That's a testimony to a very well written song! But Bob, I really LIKE the character of your voice. The sincerity of the lyrics really come through with your performance. Good job!

WOW Bob, what a great arrangement and vocal. I love all the little touches and instruments you weaved in and out with the orchestra and the big dramatic drum flourishes. If I were Noel, I know I'd have a big smile on my face. (Kind of fun to cover another former member's song huh? LOL! That's for teasing about the one I did for Charlie last year.   ) Beautifully done. Kudos to Noel too for writing such a super big ballad. Josie

Bob, Both Josie's are correct. I'm 1,000% incredibly impressed with what you've brought to this song. I didn't know it could sound so good. Even though I wrote it, that first time I heard what you had done with it, it was like listening to a whole new song. Your honest and sincere performance awoke memories within me that I'd forgotten long ago. I cannot thank you enough for creating such a fine version of "Brighter Than Any Star".
